Amber "Amber Rayne" Matthews is a Black woman visual artist and filmmaker from Maryland known for producing a range of film projects including commercials, short films, music videos, documentaries, and social media content. In addition to film production, she also works as a media coordinator, event coordinator, and stage manager for various music-based events including the annual Broccoli City Festival in DC, The Roots Picnic in Philadelphia, and various showcases. Amber is also a visual artist known for meshing portrait photography and graphic design to create eye-catching images. She is a graduate of Bowie State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Visual Communication and Digital Media Arts with a concentration in Advertising Design.  Her experience in the fashion and beauty industry along with her interest in the representation of women of color in advertising, drive her focus on creating positive images reflecting the importance of inclusion.  Her interests in the music industry have led her to work with a variety of musicians, artists, and to produce an ongoing documentary project centering Hip-Hop and music culture. Her goal and purpose is to explore the music, fashion, and beauty industry through the lens of film, producing creative projects, and creating visual images. She also aims to provide opportunities and education for minorities and specifically women of color through her production work.
